Indian Fairtrade tea from Nilgiri Chamraj plantations.

In India’s region of Nilgiri, in the harsh mountain environment of Chamraj, grows Fairtrade Chamraj T.G.F.O.P. black tea. Letters come from words Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe. It means that only the young top leaves and buds are qualified for this tea. Processing leaves the tea with a dark and slightly greenish colour. The characteristic colour is a sign for precise processing.

Chamraj T.G.F.O.P.’s taste is typical to the Asian black tea, grown in high altitude. Thanks to the difficult growing environment, tea bush thrusts more nutrients to the leaves, resulting to the more aromatic and vivid taste. The Tea feels silky smooth and mellow in drinker’s mouth. During the stewing, the drink gets darker than many other Indian tea.
